An art which has been traded for over 2,500 Years finally brought a hefty $200,000.00 for a rug and that was identified as the most expensive rug ever sold up until the early 70's from an estate out of Wheeling, WV. But during the deep recession of June 2008 a 7'x7' silk rug which had been sold 8 years earlier for $500.000.00 brought a shocking $4.5 Million. Yet in a deep recession of October 2009 a 5'6"x3'6" silk rug sold for more than $220,000.00 per one square foot again over $4.5 Million.
