I love Taekwondo but I never understand why wasting wood for a competition?_? If not for heating up the hall....
-
So that' where all those Kauri went! Wood is great, though re-breakable boards a bit more eco friendly. Apart form some really low holders heights lots of great breaking. Taekwon.

Its not all about power its about using the proper technique and the proper attacking tool to hit the target yes the pine boards are fairly easy up to a certain amount then it gets difficult thats when the people with the proper power speed and technigue break up to 6" and more taekwondo also use bricks and slates tiles ect not to show how powerful the are but how through years of developing there hands and feet that they can do this will no injury to themselves try it your selfs before you dis

i know it feels good to break stuff but this just seems like a waste of wood

@topkick7 I don't get why your comment got too many negative votes - it is a fair and valid point. Must be all the Tae Kwon Do fanactics in their own little world. Blinkered and ignorant thinking that they practise the most powerful martial art in the world. Good to see someone realistic and not afraid to speak the truth.
-
Like i said, it depends on how many you are breaking. Clearly as you find it so easy you must have been world champion at some point?
-
@93rdAngel Well it depends on how many boards you are breaking as to how easy it is! When i won power breaking at the ITF world championships in korea 2010 it certainly wasn't easy.

a nice video of the breaking competition. shame it wasnt clear the names of the competitors on the video but the actions speak for themselves.
everyone had a great attitude too, following the tenets of Taekwon-do.
thank you for the upload, taekwon
