Jane Eyre director Cary Fukunaga debuted his film-making talents in the 2009 film Sin Nombre, and now his adaptation of the classic Charlotte Brontë novel is hitting the big screen with stars Michael Fassbender and Mia Wasikowska. We sat down with Cary to chat about lining up the two actors and the difficulties of putting an iconic story on the big screen. Also, let's face it — he's easy on the eyes. Check out our chat below.

  • He is so fiiiine!

  • Thank you for "Jane Eyre"! The "every five years" thing, needs to be broken. So long as you do something fresh with it. ((The @#$%^ cowardly studios.))

  • @Ciaradexy Ok, now that I thought further I think that maybe my first comment could be a bit misleading. I do like Japanise people. I just prefer contrast in people's looks. Blue yeys, black hair, that kind of thing. And Cary is original because he has two types in himself. I didn't want to offend anyone. Hope now it's more clear. Have a nice day.

  • @Ciaradexy Excuse me? I just don't find typical Japanise face very handsome. The same with Spanish face because I'm not a fan of dark eyes or skin. And I have them actually. It's all about taste. I personally think that Japanise behavior in many cases is wonderful, they are really polite. I think also that Japanise women are gorgeous. But not the men and I'm entitled to have my own opinion.

  • @koniczynkaL Holy crap, how racist are you?!

  • And he seems so intelligent too!

  • He did an amazing job with Jane Eyre. I was impressed as a huge fan of the novel.

  • I love his glasses but I'm not objective because I have the same LOL anyway, I find him very handsome, I usually don't like typical Japanise face but here mixed with the european type, it's gorgeous. Plus he's a great director and also an intelligent man. You know, it's like he seems more available then for example Michael Fassbender who is almost divine, so you can only watch and drool xD Mr Fukunaga reminds me of this boy from the neighborhood type. I wish I could meet someone like that.

  • el deberia ser el prota, muy apuesto!.
