@townkevin59 I'm afraid you are wrong. Many other countries do not pay more for gas. They are paying a MUCH higher amount of tax when they are paying for gas as compared to what we pay in the US. The price of oil on the world market is the same everywhere and people in Europe pay that price. Unless their oil refineries are much less efficient than those in the US, then in theory they would pay the same for gas. They pay more at the pump to support thier welfare state. Simple as that.

Most Countries are paying over $7.00 a gallon for gas and have been paying that for some time now, however, as an American, I know that prices like that (And I believe it's comming) will cause mass job loss, higher unemployment, and cause a lot of small companies to go out of business. The bottom line: we're fucked!
