  • Very nice video, but two corrections are needed. The Victory Theatre was NOT conceived and built by Holyoke "city fathers" in 1912. Samuel and Nathan Goldstein of Western Massachusetts Theatres Incorportated (at that time known as “G.B. Theatres”) were early pioneers in the movie business. They built the theatre in 1919. The Victory opened as a MOVIE theatre (NOT a theatre for stage productions) on December 30th of that year.
