1. Just because the Me-262 was a jet doesn't mean anything. It wasn't a very good one and allied pilots quickly found ways to shoot it down.
2. The jet engines sucked. They burned through fuel like crazy and the Me-262 could only remain in combat for a few minutes before having to return to base, leaving it vulnerable to attack as it tried to land.

@weasel75 It's called an Immelmann turn and it was a real maneuver commonly used by fighter pilots during the first world war, though it was rarely used during the second world war.

I got to see this movie. I GOT TO SEE THIS MOVIE! WW2 fighter/bomber airplanes is reason enough.

It's called RED TAILS because of the airplanes you morons. Not because of the color of their skin. Grow up!. This movie looks great and I for one can't wait to see it.
