Steven Tyler from Aerosmith (and now American Idol) sang the National Anthem on Thursday Oct. 21, 2010 at the TD Garden for the Boston Bruins Home Opener... instead of "Garden Favorite" Rene Rancourt.

If the people in charge of making the choice of singer at the game sunday night didn't want an awesome, rough around the edges rock star voice to sing the national anthem why in the hell did they have one do it. We all been hearing his voice sing everwhere for over 30 years so it wasnt frickin new!! I seen & heard a man sing a song with pride . I liked it as well as his other anthem sings.

Anyone who says this is awesome is simply trying to defend the rock legend. Guys, he sounded drunk and disrespectful. Men and women gave their lives for this country, and nobody should sing the American National Anthem in this way, no matter who they are.

@nuvamusic no actually Steven Tyler is clean and sober from drugs and alcohol. And he sang signature "Steven Tyleresque."
