One more thing to all you tunnel visioned, mixed up people who do not do your research enough!! Jesus was divine, and yes he came with a sword because he was a rebel to teach us right from wrong, and bring God's message. Jesus was called Rabbi. But in Jewish faith to be a Rabbi you had to be married, and Mary was the closest, so? Jesus is not less divine to be married, for if he came to teach about love why would he himself not be married, what is the big deal go play on twitter please!

Also who ever made the comment on Cleopatra and Marc Antony you need to research more the Cleopatra that married Marc Antony was the Last Pharaoh of Egypt and she was CLEOPATRA THE 7TH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! who was born in 69 B C. I believe what Dan Burstein is saying is true, there were soo many Mary's at this time that Mary Magdalene was mixed up. She was confused of mistaken identity! For Mary was the the true rock of the church not Peter. In the painting by Leonardo Da Vinci's Painting of the last supper you can see Peter did not like her for Jesus loved her most. All reasonings point to a marriage. I am sure it was the Church that kept it hidden! The marriage at Cannon was theirs. Wake up People!

Just in case no one knew...there is only one person by that name in ancient times.She was the daughter of Cleopatra the 6th and Mark Antony.Her name was Selene but she changed it by adding magda to it.For recognition because of who her family was.The reason she was branded a "prostitute"or whore was because she was married to an elite jew who beat her but she left him for Jesus(Cesarian).She was probably the first woman to ever have a divorce.They tried to stone her to death,but Jesus saved her.
