Ingredients:
Simple Syrup
2c water
2 1/2 c white granulated sugar
12 large fresh (not frozen) strawberries, diced and mashed
1- 1 1/4 c. fresh squeezed lemon juice (not reconstituted or concentrate)
Extra water (enough to fill your container/pitcher) to dilute the concentrate you just made.

In a medium saucepan, combine 2 c water and 2 1/2 c white granulated sugar and bring to a boil. Stir occasionally and boil until sugar is completely dissolved. Allow to cool to room temperature. In a large pitcher, add simple syrup, lemon juice and strawberries. Add enough water to fill your container and stir well. Store in the refrigerator until cold.

Best if consumed in 2-3 days.

  • Made it again. It still tastes great but I still can never get my lemonade the way I like strawberry or not. I have rear some suggestions bout dropping a capful of lemon extract in the mix and maybe bowling lemon rinds or lemon zest with the simple sugae mix

  • @SonicBoomC98 Awesome to hear! I have revamped this recipe as well. Some things I do differently is always make a simple syrup and to get the best bang ot of my lemons I add the zest into my simple syrup. I use 1 1/4 - 1 1/2 c of fresh lemon juice and I make my simple syrup with 4 cups of water and 3 cups of sugar. i know it seems like a lot. I also puree the strawberries with a 1/2 c of so of the simple syrup in a blender. Hope this helps. Oh, I also strain the berries & syrup in a sieve.

  • @JessicaDee1987 I will definitely have to try that 3/4 sugar/water ratio. You using that whole 4 cups of syrup in one pitcher of lemonade ?

  • @SonicBoomC98 If I am making about a gallon of lemonade then yes. If I am making smaller pitchers, then the simple syrup is divided into 2 pitchers. But it's all on a taste preference. Also, we use evaporated cane juice or agave nectar so the nutiritional value is much better than processed sugar.

  • Can you use a blender at all for this recipe?

  • @nintandao64 There would be no need for a blender except if you wanted to puree the strawberries. Everything can be easily mixed by hand. Thanks for commenting. I appreciate it.

  • @Robbaz Thanks so much. I hope you try out the recipe.

  • Very good video and instructions.

  • @MySuperChannel124 Absolutely. You could also puree the strawberries and strain them through a sieve or fine mesh strainer to have a smoother finished product.

  • when you mash the strawberries, can you also do it with a mortar and pestol?
