Awesome gutsy lifting man. I think the belt will massively help you on the jerk.

@Maveric78 Yeah. The belt has helped as well as focusing on staying on my heels. I'm close to 153+, can't wait for the comp next week :D

@HeangKoing Great lifting man. Did you drop the Back Squat completely and just front squat? How often do you front squat?

@TreeSmoke1999 thanks, yeah haven't BS in about 8months. I'm going to add them in once every 3 sessions or so at the end of my sessions. I FS at the start and at the end of my sessions, so about 10x a week, going to do it 8x and back squat 2x a week

@HeangKoing Wow thats impressive once at the start and at the end lol. I would think all that FS work would make your jerk go up alot, did it work as a jerk assistance? Also could you give me an idea of what your sets reps are in the FS from start to end? If you only FS wouldn't you need a supplementary exercise like Romanian Deadlifts to really build backside/posterior/ham-glute strength for the catch position in the snatch?

@TreeSmoke1999 If you go to fortifiediron I have a training journal there.
It has helped my Jerk but I still don't drive off my legs enough in the Jerk.
FS to max, single up, bar x6; 60 x2 100 130 150 160 170 (95%), 175+ if I am feeling good, then drop 10 and do 2 doubles.
Sn to max
CJ to max
FS same as the start, FS to max then drop 10 and do 2 doubles
Strength for the catch? FS and lifting will do that, no need for assistance, assistance is the FS
