Prices of homes are finally affordable. I was unemployed for 2 years when I got out of the military in 2006. Well honestly I was just enjoying my time doing nothing.
I was able to use my skills in the military to obtain a job.
Air Traffic controller is a good job. You can make about $80k per year when you leave the military.
How is the job market out there?
Cost of living is high.
About the military, would you like to get paid $1500 per month with free room and board? Free travel (I was stationed in Germany)
Plus get paid $2000 per month for 36 months to go to school when you get out?
Also get a good deal on a loan to purchase a home.
Trust me if you join just for the benefits as long as you do your job then things will be fine.
