This first of a three-part segment looks at the historical and modern evidence that supports the theory of plate tectonics, especially as provided by studies of the ocean floor.
There is also a bit of evidence and it would make sense that the earth is expanding due to the release of water within the earth. When the planets were formed the clouds of dust orbiting the leftover core of the sun would compress over time to form planets, with compression of the elements of our planet it would heat up the core and begin to sort of jump start the inner engine of earth. From the heat steam would break through the crust, fill the atmosphere and begin what we now have as oceans.
well, there are THOUSANDS more evidences that prove the continental drift than evidences proving the expanding earth theory, so they just cant be put in the same level. (at least at the present moment)
defenders of the growing earth theory shouldnt waste their time trying to argue that theyre right, and instead start trying to find the THOUSAND evidences that could, eventually, show that they are right.
they are both theories that we can not prove conclusively. This is how humans learn..and only idiots talk like that about theories..which we all know are only our best guesses. A theory is only a theory after it has been found that theire is very strong evidence for it. There is very strong evidence for both these theories. But we may never see the center of the earth, so we may never fully understand. so grow up. Only open minded scientists get closer to the truth.

meanwhile, the first one is the valid one.
