As an ex-Muslim, I commend Ayaan's brave stand against the menace of Islam. Notwithstanding the fevered attempts of Muslim propagandists to mystify the issue, the fact remains that Islam is an affront to human rights. Everywhere Islam reigns supreme the result invariably is the regimentation of society, the repression of women, the murder of gays and the most toxic hatred of infidels. The inheritors of the Enlightenment are summoned by civilisation to banish this evil. Ayaan's book is wonderful.

Ayaan was forced to resign as a digraced Dutch MP and announced her departure for the US. She has proven to be a rampant opportunist who succesfully seduced soft-in-the-head Dutch liberals with lies and divisive posturing before shitting on them and joining her right-wing, neo-liberal compatriots in the US, the American Enterprise Institute (AEI). What a pity Coleen Wilcox was chosen to make the introduction. Her introduction and pronunciation was appalling. At the least she ought to have sought help beforehand with words both English and foreign that were obviously unfamiliar to her, to avoid awkward and inaccurate vowel shifts, jumbling of consonants and general stumbling.

I had the pleasure of seeing her at my Alma Matter, Occidental College. She is spot on regarding the oppression of Islam. Are there good Muslims, Of Course! However, those in power, or those seeking a pure form of Islam are not so benevolent. She is brave for spreading her message.
