Performance has nothing to do with it, we;re talking about her voice here. Mariah has a voice like no one else, it's super soft but not screechy.

Mariah's voice has more power than a tonne of dynamite. She can scream her lungs out. Just because it's not manly like Beyonce or Shakira doesn't mean it's not powerful.

I don't know why the hell Def Leppard would allow Mariah to turn a great rock song into a shitty pop cover. I'm surprised that they did anyway, that would disappoint me a bit. But at least when people sing karaoke, they're singing the original song - how it was meant to be.
