A criminally underrated band in the overcrowded Seattle Grunge scene, Screaming Trees offered the proto-sludge of Melvins and Soundgarden mixed with a more punk influenced approach, characteristic of Mudhoney and Green River.

Quick question for anyone who might know the answer: Who wrote the lyrics for Screaming Trees songs? I know that the credits go to Lanegan and the Connor brothers but does anyone know who wrote the lyrics? I would guess it's Lanegan.
