A criminally underrated band in the overcrowded Seattle Grunge scene, Screaming Trees offered the proto-sludge of Melvins and Soundgarden mixed with a more punk influenced approach, characteristic of Mudhoney and Green River.

Line-up:
Mark Lanegan - vocals, guitar
Gary Lee Conner - guitar, backing vocals
Van Conner - bass, backing vocals
Mark Pickerel - drums

  • oui :)

  • mind blowing

  • A screaming trees reunion tour would be lovely.

  • la guns influenced grunge bands too.

  • My friend turned me on to this band back in the day.....thanks nick!!!...

  • Want a taste of the 90's to come back? Help it happen, check out the band Eat The Dog. Couple videos on youtube called "Electric man" and "Tideland" If you really want to help, check them out on facebook and pass it around as I am.

  • It's obvious where Kurt Cobain got his influence, now...

  • Quick question for anyone who might know the answer: Who wrote the lyrics for Screaming Trees songs? I know that the credits go to Lanegan and the Connor brothers but does anyone know who wrote the lyrics? I would guess it's Lanegan.

  • once you accept that music is a thankless, meritless art form, then u will feel at peace with the void, and the fact that the trees, like others, had syncronicity, and yet are unrecognized, and so be it. thats life. but we can celebrate them, and declare what they mean to us invidually, from speaker to ear, with no middle man

  • Fuck! I need to get this album in either cd or cassette, to play it in my diskman or walkman...BEST SOUND EVER! Fuck ipod!!
