wow, let me give you some advice from an ex combat engineer when it comes to explosives... the energy released will take the path of least resistance... just like electricity... therefore, your hours of wacking away at that tree, just to have the bottle sit exposed was a wasted of time... why do you think miners drill holes so deep into rock?? centralize the energy, and to provide that "pressure" around the charge... my hats off to you though,, that was one helluva bark.

He he he,,,,I maybe was not payig attention? The tree appears to be a fir but in its latent stage i was kinda guessing that from the lack of damage that was doen it was something tougher like a,,,,???? maple of yellow oak possibly??? But yes ,,,another tree would be to our liking sir.Thank you.
