President William Jefferson Clinton talks about global issues and the power of philanthropy with Aspen Institute Vice President Jane Wales. Clinton discusses Liberian president Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf and her work to rebuild the nation despite few resources.
Hosted by the Aspen Institute, The 2008 Aspen Ideas Festival will engage its participants in a variety of programs, tutorials, seminars and discussion events which together are guaranteed to charge the atmosphere with vibrant intellectual exchange. Think of it as a week-long summer university for the mind -- remarkable lectures and classes across a stimulating array of topics.
YOU should be able to give. I don't want to pay more taxes for a place where my children and grandchildren's job will go. PRIVATE money - go ahead but we have enough poverty right here in America and taxes benefit corporations so I assume you are in some way part of the corporate world because if you haven't noticed America is drowning.

I'd like to help libya out with my tax money especially people who don't have electricity or any infrastructure. Libya's economy could help bolster our own. Our economy's health relies on the rest of the world's now more than ever.
