First video edited to music on the rig. Basically, I just wanted to see how this would do under a full load of editing. No hiccups at all and it ran both cores consistently at 35C and then at 38C while rendering. It was flawless.

For those interested, the intro music is Squarepusher - Metteng Excuske v1.2 and the main song is Aphex Twin - To Cure a Weakling Child.

Enjoy!

  • Thats a badass looking SpinQ... it doing the trick? have you overclocked..i was thinking about an ultra 120...thoughts?

  • It is for me because I have not overclocked. I have an Intel board, which prevents any overclocking. My system runs at 35C idle and I've never seen it get passed 40 under load so far. So it is running fine for me. I've read that the Ultra 120 will do far superior under OC load conditions. Research before you buy! (SpinQ does look badass though!)

  • power supply?

  • PSU is a modular Raidmax 550W

  • thank you! great build...using the same case for mine...think i can fit a 1000w corsair in that case?

  • You can fit an F-150 in this thing....

  • God, so the Spin Q really is huge! Did you look up the Spin Q VT?

  • Its a pretty standard designed case. The style is epitomized by the Antec 900. There is also a Thermaltake variation of the design. Nothing really worth making a music video about.

The SpinQ looks great and is a great concept. However, they failed to orient it in the right direction which takes away its thermal capacity to reduce heat. They have a new design that is vertical and should provide a more ideal transfer of heat.

  • nice i just got this cpu cooler, its wicked sick, here are my specs and av. temps:

    ASUS M4N82

    AMD PHENOM II X4 955 @ 3.3 GHZ w/ TT SPINQ

    OCZ REAPER DDR2 1066 4GB 2 MODULES DUAL CHANNEL

NVIDIA ASUS GTX260 WITH HYPERDRIVE ON

    LG H20L BLURAY/HD OPTICAL DRIVE

    SEAGATE 7200 BARRACUDA 1.5T

KINGWIN MACH 1 800W MODULAR POWER SUPPLY

been running prime 95 for an hour and im at 46' C, and at idle im at 29-34'C

  • Hows the Spinq? Thinking of getting one of these since I hear bad reviews about the domino alc. Cause my crappy CM Hyper TX2 cpu fan is dieing out on me AGAIN!! Heard the loud clicking noise it was the cpu fan grrrr.

  • i have the same case as you, and i was wondering if that same cpu-cooler would fit, YOU ARE MY HERO.

  • even if you dont have fan connectors on mobo, 4 pin molex still works

  • Thats a badass looking SpinQ... it doing the trick? have you overclocked..i was thinking about an ultra 120...thoughts?
