  • This is the guy who should have been President for 4 terms like Roosevelt. I don't trust many politicians and world leaders but I trust Powell. He's just too together. Obama ought to speak w/him everyday. Repubs and Tea Partiers are just obstructionists w/no plan. Simpl flip back and forth between a palin interview and a Powell interview. He never hesitates, says "um", pauses uncomfortable. He just answers the questions very clearly.

  • i don't understand why a lot of people don't see it the way you do, or I. Of all the politicians in the country, he is the one I trust/respect the most. He clearly put his country before his party.

  • Powell is the only real politician in America and definately the only Repub. In fact the dems and the Repubs should take note. Powell voted for the best candidate at the time. Most certainly, it wasn't Palin and Mccain. If these politicians would stop voting along party lines, things could get done. The best thing Obama did for the house or whatever is to make everyone sat together. But They (the politicians) think it,s funny. Go Powell.

  • MRS. Corie, I surely hope so. I wish I could talk to him regularly. Maybe he could straighten out my shit. Obama is in a world of shit. From day one, even under Republican administrations I always trusted Powell. How could one not? Consistency, baby, that is what it is all about. Or good reasons for changing one's mind, which Powell has.

  • ...while Bush was left floating around on the surface after reading to those kids. He hasn't and never will give a damn about this country nor we its people.

  • ...hungry vultures and start bringing us ideas if they don't like what's being proposed so much. And somebody really needs to tell Dick Chaney to sit down. We hardly hear from the guy during the Bush years and all of a sudden we're supposed to believe he's some guru on national security because he's blasting Mr. Obama every week. I'll never forget on the live 9-11 news coverage which reported that he and other top military brass were whisked away to some secret underground military bunker...

  • He would've made such an awesome president but I think he realized that the jacked-up political landscape of DC couldn't bend to the sensible and reasonable way of doing things that he possesses so he stayed out of it. I still have faith in President Obama despite the missteps so far and however he can't do it all by himself. Congressional Dems have got to stop pushing whatever they want down our throats because of their majority and Reps have got to stop circling Mr. Obama's presidency like...

  • @eqsmooth actually I think he is speaking with him regularly.

  • Its clear to me we elected the wrong black man!

  • Thanks for being so reasonable Gen. Powell.
