Need You Now || Episode 1 (Part 2)

I got out from my bed and went straight to the kitchen. I saw my mom was making breakfast. "Good morning, mom." I said.
She nodded her head and said "Good morning, Joe." I walked towards her and looked at the pan "So.. Pancakes for breakfast?" I asked.
"Yup." She flipped the pancakes and placed it on the plate and handed it to me. "Thanks, mom." I took a sit on the stool.
She made another pancake for herself and sat next to me on the stool.

Both of us finished our pancakes at the same time. "So.." Both of us said in union. "You go first, mom." I said.
"Dad is at Miley's house." She said, taking our plates to the dishwasher machine. "Oh, what is he doing there?" I asked.
"Miley's dad is our new client." She smiled. "What? Why must you work with the Cyrus family? You know I dislike them." I frowned.
Mom walked towards me. "Joe, hun, in business world, we ignore all the dislike thingy. We must do anything to keep our company alive."
"But.." She raised her eyebrow to me. "No buts.. If they are not our client, our company could be destroy. So we have to follow everything Cyrus says."
Mom explained. I sighed. 10 years ago, the Cyrus family safe dad's life so that's why WE have to be nice with them.
It's like as if we owe them our life. I got up from the stool. "I'm going out." I said but mom stopped me. "No, you're not going anywhere, we'll have our lunch
at Miley's house." She told me. "I'm not hungry. You can go with dad." I walked out from the kitchen.
"Joseph, you have to come with us. There's something important that we have to tell you."
Something important? Now what? I have to marry Miley because his dad told us to? This is shit.

[[Cory's House]]
-Cory-

"Cory, your sister is in the living room." Lea got on me and kissed my cheek. Her voice woke me up from my nap. I blinked my eyes twice.
"What? What is she doing here?" I asked. Lea tucked her hair behind her ears and shrugged. She got off me and smiled.
"Looks like she has something important to tell you." She said. I got up and walked downstairs with Lea. I walked into the living room and see my red-orange hair sister,
sitting on the couch, with a serious face. "Hayley, what's wrong?" I asked as I walked towards her. She quickly got up.
"I just got a call from Demi.. She said she called you few times but you didn't picked it up." Hayley said. "I didn't hear it, I guess. What did she said?" I asked.
Hayley stayed quiet for a while. I knew something bad happened. "Hayley..." She looked down and bursted out into tears.
"Demi told me, mom got murdered by David, last night." She said, pausing each second. I couldn't believe what I just heard.
I stared into blank spaces. Lea walked towards Hayley and hugged her. "Everything's gonna be alright.." Lea said.

It took me 4 seconds to realize that I just lost my one and only mother. Tears rolled down my cheeks. I didn't even bother to wipe it.
"What happened to David?" I asked. "Demi said he got arrested by the police." Hayley said. "Fuck! He deserve to die. Im gonna kill him now!" Lea took my hand and hugged me.
"I.. Just lost a mother.." I sobbed. Hayley took out her cellphone and dialed Demi's number.
