That's great to hear :) Enjoy her.. Very Exciting, We only just got Rufus a few weeks ago, free to good home and he is only a baby still just turned 1 years old. Irish Setter's are really rare here, so we took the opportunity to get another. They are sooo cute and will make you laugh... Very smart too, easy to train. :D
Easy to train? Wish I could agree. I mean, don't take me wrong, my boy is very smart and he does understand what we try to teach him but he's very very very stubborn! He's nearly 15, now, so although he's in pretty decent shape, we don't really try to train him anymore. He's very smart, very bright, but his stubborness was always huge. He only does whatever he wants to, although he doesn't do anything wrong and he's lovely! =)
@shokyu42 Well you need to have a patient and gentle approach when teaching an Irish Setter, because they are very smart. Once you take time to train them they are the best. I started training my Irish Setter at 2 years old and she is in higher classes then the other dogs that have been there longer then her, people were actually impressed on how quick she learnt.
It's showing a bit dark on my monitor, but I saw enough of Rufus to make me want a new puppy too. :) He's so cute!! I think the 3 of them are going to have a lot of fun together.
Oh yes, I know. I have a 2 year old Fagan. He's very smart and a big goofball. He has brought me such joy that I decided to rescue her and add to my family. They are also very rare in the Northeast part of my country.
Aw, so cute. I'm adopting an 18 mos old from rescue and will be picking her up this week. I'm so excited and your video of Rufus made me more so
