Well, he got SOME of it right, though it doesn't take a genius to make the predictions he did. In Robert Welch's America I WOULD be free of foreign wars, but I'd also be free from healthcare, minimum wage laws, workers' rights, freedom of religion, civil liberties for minorities, social programs for the poor, and corporate oversight of any kind. Robert Welch was a racist nutbag, and even though he DID have a few valid points, ultra-conservative extremism SUCKS BALLS!!!

This was the birth of the John Birch Society. Declared a "radical" right-wing group. It was denounced as “idiotic” and “paranoid.” and placed in the fringe of the mainstream conservative movement. These "crazy nut jobs" where the only thing standing between your freedom and totalitarian slavery.
