@BeastlyDangler Well, when Bill McCreary is the "standard of excellence", there's something wrong with officiating. Honestly, McCreary's terrible.

/watch?v=wwTXVmef6es WATCH! UNBELIVEABLE REFEREE MISTAKE IN Finnish SM-League! CLEAN HIT AND REFEREE TRHOWS THE PLAYER OUT OF THE GAME. 5+20 min penalty. (In SM-League we don't have professional referees)

To be honest green's cross check might have been worse. I don't think Stepan wanted to do that. I feel like he didn't time the hit right and he got jaw. Green's cross check though is unacceptable. They shoulda both been fined.
-
how is the cross-check and the hit on mike green not penalties?? fuken retarded refs..
-
Mike Green would still be playing today if the refs would have called his cross check into the boards. But they didn't and now he's paying big time for it (not saying he deserves a concussion because noone does except Matt Cooke). The NHL needs to look at training the refs better to catch these bad plays before the other team can retaliate.
-
And the game clearly should have been stopped for a head injury. These refs were clearly incompetent.
-
Dangerous cross check by Green but the retaliation by Stepan was unacceptable. Blindside hit to the head with the elbow coming up. And now Green is concussed. Of course the wheel of fortune of NHL discipline did nothing but fine him $2500... (Please, that's chump change. I could pay that fine).
-
@s2killa Green definitely cross-checked him, there's no denying that. But Stepan went with flying elbow and aimed at the guy's head. If that doesn't scream major penalty and a suspension, then I think you've completely missed the point.
-
Damn Blade!
-
HAHAHA 10 game suspension!?!?! Do you watch hockey at all??? First of all "IF" the league deemed this hit illegal, he would only get a 2-3 game suspension... reason being is that this is his first incident and it wasnt that big of a hit...
but seriously, green got what was coming to him... a cross check into the boards head first... you can paralyze someone like that... and it wasnt a flop you fuckin ass clown... watch his head hit and ricochet...
-
What a flop on the hit by Green. Stepan with a cheap play that he should have been suspended for at least 10 games.
-
Woooooo rangers ftw greens a fuckin bitch he hits Stephen from behind then can't take a hit
-
Big boy capano93!!!
-
LMFAO, both times no call? what a shitty ass ref hahahahahaha.
-
Rangers won this 6-0, stepan got em back after a cross check into the boards...ridiculous how nhl is comtemplating suspensions
-
Both hits were dirty but neither were worth a suspension.
-
Cross check by green, clean hit by Stepan. For all of you that dont know, in hockey, shoulder hits are legal, cross checking is not.
The cross-check from behind is just as bad of a hit. He sent Stepan head first into the boards which could easily cause a concussion or injure his neck. If you've ever played hockey, you'd know that both plays are equally dangerous. If a penalty was called on the x-check by Green, the 2nd hit would've never happened. Neither hit is worth a suspension... I don't think either hit was intentional, neither player intended to hurt the other. If the refs did there job, we wouldn;t be talking about it
