Very good advice. I do wish I had a group of preppers to work with and perhaps share resources. Right now my daughter and I are doing a lot of inexpensive or free prepping. We are working on worm composting for our garden and getting the garden boxes ready to plant. We are learning how to start and build a good fire. (dryer lint stuffed in a paper towel roll is an excellet fire starter) We put up a clothesline in the backyard to take advantage of sunny days. Every little bit helps. : )
@liabatud67 Thanks. I'd feel like a king if I had a few square feet of land (above surface that is), at first I wouldnt know what to do with it, then a place to grow something might come to my mind.
@trailkeeper "Practice your preps" now so that when you need them, they'll be second nature is a good piece of advice that I've heard and agree with. Now to get enough land for myself to do a garden or container garden would be nice. :)
Good ideas. Thank you. A neighbor is doing most of the gardening. I'm amassing the canning supplies. So far my monetary input is greater than his. His labor output is far greater than mine.
I try to learn something new every week. Try it out on my days off.
I think if shtf, then people will have to become farmers quickly since their shtf supplies wont last too long. Hence, a need for people to get seeds and books about farming.
