    Not really. It all depends on what the artist wants.

  • You are right, there are some rare exceptions, but in almost all cases, in almost all styles of music, these basic ideas stand.

  • @SBMastering most daws are now 32bit float so why mix to -3db when clipping doesn't happen at 0db?
