In Memory of my Dog - (1/2) Final moments before Cremation

Seeing her for the last time at home before bringing her to the Clinic for Cremating her body.




She lay at her favourite spot, beneath the tall kitchen stool legs that gave her a sense of security.

Thought that she was still alive, napping/stoning as what she does sometimes... until she didn't seem to be moving.. and her tongue had turned greyish in color..instead of her usual bright reddish pink tongue..

Removed all the chairs from the table and inspected her. Called her name, many times. Stroked her. Tried to wake her up. But no, she wouldn't awaken.

She wasn't breathing. She had gone to Heaven and we all didn't know... Cos she was fine when we came back 2hrs ago and she was still ALIVE when she barked at us(family) for her dinner(630pm), as what she does when she's hungry sometimes too...

Then at 730pm, thats when we discovered that she had passed away, silently and was already cold to the touch but her body was still soft, not hard.. Her eyes were half opened.. It seemed as though in the midst of her falling asleep, the Grim Reaper took her soul away; which seemed like a Heart Attack..

I suppose her Time of Death was at 7pm, 150309.

Rest in Peace my beloved pretty girl, who just turned 14yrs old(72yrs old in dog yrs) on 110209.

Im just glad that we were all home at that time, to 'see' you off on your Journey, and that you didn't have to die Alone..




Dear hoshi, I hope you'll be Happy no matter where you are. I love you very much, I will miss all your crankiness and barkings to get our attention to 'serve' you your waterbowl, and the times we had to handfeed you your meals when u refused to eat from your own food bowl, and how you'll bark continuously(beg for food) when we are having our own meals by the table and I will miss a Million other things from you cos you made a huge Difference in my life.

Yes, in fact we do.. The house was so empty by week 1 after her death that on the 2nd week, we got a new dog.. At least that helped lightened up the gloomy mood at home.. Will post video of our new dog soon :)

What happened to your dog? It looks like my long haired chihuahua who died February 16, 2009. I feel your pain. I watch her videos everyday.

I supppose she suffered a heart attack or something even though she was lying on her side as though she was sleeping, at her favourite spot in the kitchen..

Everyone says she went peacefully but I think, she struggled to stay alive, to fight Death away but I guess when your time's up, there's no winning over it...

I know how you feel my dog was put to sleep 5 years ago but we've never got a new dog coz my mum can't go through the pain again my dog died from having a fit she was a boarder collie/springer

my dog's favorite spot was sleeping on my bed when I was at school

I had to hold her in my arms as she was getting put down

so I know how you feel

I know how you feel i have had 2 deaths one in 2008 the other in 2009 it was close to christmas when they died one of them had to be put to sleep the other got hit by a car :'( R.I.P Blacky (girl) 1997 to 2008 she was a old dog. R.I.P Buddy (boy) 2000 to 2009 he was a young jackrussell terrior, He died from another dog biteing his neck they fixed his neck but when they did a virus got in and he had to be put to sleep he was a very young terrior REST IN PEACE MY FRIENDS! I miss yall sooo much!.

Im sorry for your loss, my dog had to be put to sleep because he was old 91 in dog years. He couldnt see or hear and he started having seziures. I miss him so much im gonna post videos of him too

oh my goodness I am soooo sorry :( my doggie died last year and we had to have her creamated. her name was keesha. sh died choking on a meatball. im not joking either. i cried for a long time. im pissed at my vet now cuz they would take her in to dislodge the meat so we had to run her to the far away vet and when she got there, she was already dead. :(

My dog's favorite spot was the kitchen as well. She was a little chubby long haired chihuahua.

She did look peaceful. How old was she? My dog died of gettinghit by a car. Someone who was at my house doing some work for me while I was at work took her out without my persmission and without her leash. When I got home she was looking strange and I knew something was wrong because she would run to me. I laid her down and saw abraisions on her legs. I rushed her to the vet where she died an hour later from trauma. The person claims they don't know what happened.
