I recall this and the Judo and Swimmer adverts very well when i was a teen. I'll continue to be a lifelong Brylcreem user because of these adverts which portrayed the product as high-end, adult and retro-cool unlike new owner's Sara-Lee's subsequent desparate 'down-with-de yoof' approach.

@arumscarum they are still appreciated =D There are some of us .... you can never find us in the majority.... we hide and carry dual identities .... one to mold with the current trend and the other : digging music from a bygone era and wishing the world was still like it was back then . We will never cease to exist as what was good then is still good today . Cheers.

I'm old enough to remember this ad from the mid '60s, and -- okay, I don't believe I'm admitting this on a public forum -- a man removing his glasses slowly has an effect on me. Does anyone have this ad posted in its original form?

Absolutely brilliant advert! Loved this from the moment I first saw it. Sought out and bought the 12" version of Moments in love by Art of Noise as soon as i could, been seeking this ad for a while thanks very much for posting it. To me it defines the 80's .....aahh they dont make em like they used too! Class from start to finish!!

Big thanks from me too... I had been searching for this pretty much since the late 80's I love the Art of Noise version of Moments in Love used in this.
Cheers
Man. This is a very special moment for me. I have been trying to hunt this advert down since I had the internet.
Thank you sooo much. This is my favourite advert of all time, and I'm no advert geek or anything. It defines a very set time back in the 80's when I clicked full on that music and film are a very powerful, directional force.
Thank you so much for this post.

@drop51 well thankyou so much - I made this commercial many years ago when I was pregnant with my first child - and he - now 23 loves this music and doesn't know why! I have never understood why Anne Dudley / Art of Noise are not more famous or appreciated.
