The Poor Wayfaring Stranger (Tradit with a verse in french)

un vieux folk-song spirituel qui parle
d'un homme ayant la foi et qui attend
le paradis pour revoir ses parents. il
attend de pouvoir vivre à jamais sans entraves dans l'amour du Seigneur. cette chanson a été interprétée par
Burl Ives en 1944, par Marie Laforêt,
Johnny Cash, Emmylou Harris et bien
d'autres encore. je l'ai quant à moi,
découverte sur une compilation de Joan Baez contenant des chansons des années soixante. Joan Baez chantait The Wayfa-
ring Stranger avec sa soeur Mimi en
double voix; c'était sublime. j'ai essayé de respecter cette version avec
sa musique et son rythme en y ajoutant
un couplet traduit en français.

sung by Joan Baez and her sister Mimi
for the second voice; it was really
marvellous. I've make a translation in
french of the first verse.
