@Marciaerlo, A period is placed after a SENTENCE, not a WORD. A COMPLETE SENTENCE must include a SUBJECT and a PREDICATE. Neither "got" nor "owned" is a complete sentence, therefore, do not require a period placed after them. Those are what we educated liberals call WORDS. I think you meant to type "They got owned." Perhaps if you would have went to a school that focused more on teaching proper grammar and real subjects, instead of religion, you would know this.
