Pearls before the swine.

Woody here.
As a big fan, I felt a bit sad watching this because they should be on a stage under spotlights, not below a pastoral painting in a country club with an audience of octagenarians wandering around aimlessly.
I have done gigs like this and I call them 'wallpaper' gigs because that is what you are. These gigs pay two months rent, which is why we do them.

One great thing, is we can hear how you back a singer, that's the upside!

Thanks Satan + Adam. Good to see you
both together again.

doesn't that just sum up the 'Kiawah Country Club' and the like? They want live music.. they get freakin' ROYALTY with you guys, and then they insult with the 'turn it down', or 'turn the speakers in' remarks! I know some of the folks who would have perhaps seen you play at Kiawah, and there is no WAY it would hurt their ears! Can I add, that you are both astounding, and something divine took place to bring you both together way back then. Thank you both.

I just had to smile when I saw this. Mr Satan is talking to me in person, for the first part of this clip. These guys were great, best thing I could have done was to see them live.
Y'all are correct, this is one of the richest country clubs in the nation. I felt like a fish out of water. It was surreal.
Adam you are playing all over the singer, you of all people should know that that is a no, no, LOL great playing brother

There was no sound man and no monitors. It was up to the harmonica player to adjust the vocal & harp volume--i.e., through the PA--from the stage. We were also told to angle the PA speakers inward, away from the crowd--and from the camera. This made the vocals lower than they should have been. Finally, you'll notice--since you're somebody who obviously pays attention--that the cameraman was standing closer to the harp player's amps than to the PA speaker on Sterling's side. All of.......

......these things combined to make the volume of the vocals that you're hearing here, in this video, lower relative to the harp than it should have been. That's what you're hearing. Had the relative volumes been correct--as they are, for example, on our albums--you wouldn't have had the subjective impression that the harp player was playing all over the singer.
