The woods of Ypres this band is based off are are the Canadian woods of Ypres, not Belgium. R.I.P David Gold. You made amazing music that was far too underrated.

I was so excited to hear Woods 5 is finally coming out next year, and now this. Such an unfortunate death. RIP.

I embarrassingly never heard of Woods Of Ypres before the death of David. But now that I have I've fallen in love with his music. He was such a gifted musician, with great lyrics, great guitar work and great voice screams and clean. He was also a multi-instrumentalist. David was taken to early. But he is up there created art with Dio, Dime Bag, Cliff Burton, Peter Steele, and Chuck Schuldiner.

Rest In Piece, David Gold.
