The csl is good at taking turns. The m5 beats the shit out of it on the track still. Anyone who hasn't driven both shouldn't be talking.

Nice, this clearly shows that the M3 CSL can go around corners faster, but no way can compete with the M5 in power and torque and well excellent accelation from 3rd gear up. I recently purchased a M5.

At Wakefield you're only supposed to overtake on straights, so of course the M5 stays in front. If he could overtake on corners I reckon the CSL would win.

decent! any incar footage? :)
-
just on the straights
but when corner appears it slows down a lot and M3 beats the m5
-
totally agree

what times was the CSL and M5 doing around the wakefield? was the CSL on R specs?

Nice Evo!

That M5 was really slowing that CSL down, he should have moved out of the way. Whether or not he is faster on the straights isnt important, the CSL would be faster around because its so much a better handling car.

Great Battle?? Looks more like a M5 holding up a bunch of guy's on the track. Would have been more impressive if you'd moved over then harrased the CSL in the same way your bro did to you.
At trackdays in the UK they always tell you in the Driver Briefing beforehand to move over for faster machinery, even if you have the HP to blast away on the straights. Anyhow, have been in the M5 'ring taxi' at Nurburgring and can testify in the right hands it's brilliant!
Both running 1.09-1.10

just like to add the m5 was completely standard apart from some dunlop formula r series tyres on the rear (cause they dont make them the width for the front tyres)and twin remus mufflers on the rear. Where as the csl had suspension work tyres and mild tuning to the motor and interior minimized
