I like giving myself challenges when it comes to writing. The challenge was to create a song and a repetitive dance for the song that incorporated the lyrics into simple movement.That's why the "verse" section happens three times and the lyrics don't change. I was going to film different characters doing the dance and then through editing have them doing do it all together...Then I met Bob Rose. I saw his editing and knew he had to do a video for me. Boom Box seemed the perfect fit for him just because the lyrics are so cartoony and visual. I knew the quirkiness of the song would lend itself well to Bob's editing and special effect style...Yeah ..I know...I LOVE Prince !...Thanx Bob you KILLED it!
