  • Hi Duffman3, I understand where you are coming from with your view. But one of the things that happens when someone prays in tongues is that the language is coming directly from the Spirit if God within them Acts 2:4. The person praying does not need to think about what they are praying. They could be thinking about something completely different like sports but will usually be focused on prayerful thoughts. 1Cor 14:14: the mind is unfruitful - so it does no processing of ideas to speak.

  • @AudioDisciple If the person praying isn't thinking about what they're praying, why are they praying at all? If the mind does no processing of ideas to speak, why does it speak?

  • @duffman3 That's a good question. When a person begins praying in tongues the Spirit of God bubbles up these unknown syllables from the inner being (spirit) to the brain and then they are spoken out. When we are praying in our native language we can run out of words to pray and sometimes we cannot fully express what is on our heart or we can pray wrong prayers. When one allows the Holy Spirit to prays through them in tongues they are praying the perfect will of God. Have a look at Romans 8:26

  • @AudioDisciple You didn't really answer the question. If a person does not think about what they are praying, why are they praying? Not HOW, but WHY? What is the purpose?

  • Hello Duffman3: Hope all is well. I made a three part video response, thanks to you. Ha! Anyway, I hope you are able to view them. If I was not clear in my explanation, OR you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. Take care Buddy.

  • @corinalj Dude I'm just messing with you.

  • @duffman3 denying his truth and phrophecy is a lie from the devil. im not exactly sure what you are referring to? ppl whom hide behind scripture or ppl whom just dont agree with you?

we know then by thier friuits. if a man is living in sin without any conviction in his thoughts and is idolizing thing before God, he is prob. not saved.

    plz explain

  • @corinalj Doubting the testimony given by Sir Holy Spirit is the true lie from the devil.

Those who deny the true testimony of Sir Holy Spirit are dead to the truth. They know it is true, yet they suppress this knowledge in pride and unrighteousness. If they were to just have faith in the true testimony, and submit their prideful logic and reason to His Spiritiness, then they would bask in the flood of truth.

  • salavation is not a soley a feeling, its a regeneration of the soul. meaning we are transformed in the mind. God will test our mind and search our hearts. if we say we are saved, yet we are not growing , changing the way we think, nor naturally obeying his truth,, then we are not saved. feeling the holy spirit in church then going home and going back to our old lives witout any conviction of our sins and thoughts, is a lie from the devil not salvation. Luke 8:4-15

  • understand something. most of these christian churches speaking in tongues , are not speaking spiritually. not everyone has the gift. its not understood by humans , that why there should be a translator. if yo udont have the gift or annointing you will never understand the gifts of the spirit
