Vendetta Films presents: Picture Me - in cinemas 30th September

Filmmaker Ole Schell follows his girlfriend, model Sara Ziff, for several years documenting her rise from a fresh face to one that adorns billboards and magazines around the world. In the process, Ole and Sara go behind the scenes and chronicle the glitzy world of high fashion modelling, from photo shoots with celebrated photographers to runway shows in New York, Milan and Paris.

This intimate account features in-depth interviews with noted photographers, but also relies on footage shot by the models themselves, giving voice to those who are often seen, but rarely heard.

they adress all of these issues in the documentary. Models being alone and insecure, cocaine, and the fatigue as well as the 12 or 14 year old girls that stay at the hotel with them and how tough it is. But also the large amounts they get paid (Sara got 80,000 for her hilfiger campaign)

Have less sleep is not the worst part of this job though, I've live a lot of bad experients as to be alone without family depending by yourself in a very young age, also without freedom enough, spending bad times with a shock with different cultures and diferent people, diferent lenguajes and diferent circunstances, when you should to be more skinny every week until you can't anymore. That's why a lot of models start with unhealthy partys, alcochol, cigarrets and drugs

The point is, a tiny fraction of these girls make tons of money, and there are no laws protecting them. Some are as young as 12 years old in a foreign country, poor, and away from their families for extended periods of time.

lawyers & advocates & money (lawsuits) is what will change the work enviro for these girls and woman.

Either it's a terrible trailer or a terrible film. I'm sorry, but it's hard to feel sorry for the people I've just watched. The trials of modelling have been so well documented these days - everyone knows you're going to lose sleep and be physically scrutinised. If you don't like that, then why not turn down the extraordinary paychecks and get the kind of job that those of us who aren't fantastically attractive have to get. Not clear what the point of this documentary is.
