The overload is in the sound level not the engines
-
I've never heard a train that sounded like a truck doing a sled pull before! I haven't listened to that many diesel locos pulling out before, but usually the engines sound more like loud background noise. Maybe I've just never heard one at full power and low speeds before? That one sounded great!

@ArmandKarlsen I bet you'd be more likely to fit your car into the engine, really.

@Tjita1 YEah, but an electric motor can't provide anywhere near the visceral enjoyment of hearing a good ol' piston engine wailing away, no matter the configuration. If they made an electic car that made 1,000hp and 4,000lb-ft of torque and went for 0-60mph in 1.2 seconds, I'd still choose a 150hp straight six. It might take you 10 seconds to reach 60, but that's all the more time to enjoy the sound and feel of it!

this is like keeping a racehorse in your back yard

Christ.... another weekend warrior driving a train like a moron.....

No, that's perfectly normal for a Deltic! The driver just got a bit carried away with the power.
