A quick walk around of the new Volkswagen Jetta TDI. Then he opened the trunk! We hope to fix the problem in the Mazda Frankenstein. THANKS FOR WATCHING

  • It's not a 2.0 its the last of the 1.9's Its the BRM code and uses a unit injectors instead of the typical injection pump setup that is seen on the earlier TDI's. Some also call them the PD engine in reference to their injection system. The 2.0 didn't come out until 09 I believe. It had common rail injection and more strict emissions equipment. We have a Jetta like this one. 170k miles and counting. Seems to be a good engine they like to eat camshafts though!

    But as for the BG; I never tried their product. So I'll see if I can secure a can & test against the Z-max which that competes with this. It will be curious to see what I find.
