Mary Sofia found this book at her school library & checked it out. That was the 1st grade & over 5 years ago.. We both loved the story immediately. So, I found and purchased a copy on ebay...Still fun to read now...no matter what your age is...It's a cute old fable...with a moral.

Today Mary reads in the 1000+ Lexile.

She has also read The Babysitters Club series, and loves books, both old and new.
