@audadvnc The media is only as "liberal" as the corporations that own it, and corporations are private tyrannies that are by law required to place shareholders interests over & above the stakeholders/public trust. Hardly "liberal."
Every network and cable news outlet in the US works hand in hand with the corp/state nexus to terrorize, propagandize, deceive, disinform, distract & manipulate the public mind according to the aims of dominant interests. Phony democracy. Phony elections. Phony war$

Please review Alex Gibney's "Casino Jack and the United States of Money"

Bob Roberts- a great flick! A must see for all reasonable Democrats and Republicans who wish to think.
Teabaggers beware- this movie knew you were coming 15 years ago- with your closed mindedness and all too easy solutions to complex problems. Hell- this movie even predicited the tea baggers' 18th century army clothing!
Must have had a crystal ball.
Attention reviewer- Please speak more slowly. A great review delivered too quickly.

Why did Kim put that stupid eugenics bumper sticker on his computer?

I saw the S&E review of this movie a few months ago and really wanted to see it. I wish it was released!

News complicity - "are they in on it?" Duh, of course! NBC is owned by General Electric. Big corporations rule the government and the main stream media. For a short while we have the Internet blogosphere to supply the truth, but in a few years they'll figure out how to lock 'em out.

I'd like to see some of this media bias discussion come to fruition, but I'd love to be in on it, because I'm telling Cenk and everyone else... The MSM is not biased EITHER way, other than toward profit and self-preservation. Some sources tell the story left, some tell the story right, some tell it down the middle... It all depends on the demographics of the traffic that they're receiving. And with the sheer volume of media sources, you pretty much have to shift to a side to keep an audience.

Can I just express amazement that Cenk had not seen Bob Roberts - this should be played as Politics 101 in every college - it is a great film.
I love Rethink Reviews! Keep 'em coming!

I would agree and add that the media is neither liberal or conservative, but corporatist.
