  • Is it Greek? Latin would be nice too. Anthem for Europe should be in Greek or Latin. Wait let's do it in both languages!

  • @Boromir33

It is in ancient greek. But the theme is taken from the Letter to CORINTHIANS-Holy Scriptures (a part of it),

    St. Paul's words about Love.

  • Thank you so much for your comments!

  • I love this music, but now I understand the lyric. Thanks very much for translate!

  • Thank you very much!

  • Wonderful! And I loved Three Colours: Blue. Thank you.

  • I also loved this movie.. Maybe one of my favorites. It is a poem.. Thank you!

  • Thumbs up if you think THIS should be the anthem of Europe instead of Ode to Joy

  • @Boromir33 Α Greek can easily understand the ancient greek language. That is the magic...

  • @Taiko265 in a perfect EU it would ;)

  • This should be the anthem of the EU^^

    it's amazing^^

  • the pronunciation is correct, more or less, since this is a late first century text when language had changed and sounded like modern Greek (any way we don't even know how classical Greek was pronounced)--the New Testament contains the earliest texts in modern Greek pronunciation--great music from a great film....

  • Wonderful composition ,lyrics and performance!! Of course the meaning could be expressed in any language but Greek is unique. Besides I think it is dedicated to Greece. Thank you !!

  • @TrippyHopper All ya need to remember is this: just because you can doesn't mean you should.

  • @Boromir33 Europe's anthem should be in all languages, not only in Greek and Latin, because even in the ancient times there were thousands of languages spoken in Europe. You can't leave them out! It wouldn't be fair.

  • @dounia72 The lyrics might be in Ancient Greek (they certainly look so) but they are pronounced according to Modern Greek phonology, which is a pity 'cause I would've loved to hear them the way people spoke when they were written.

  • @Showpick

of course it is WRONG...it is church talk!.....lol....they don't want you to KNOW, they just want you to LOVE (throwing money on the church plate going around!) :)

....however I have to agree with the song saying that Knowledge will fade away....IF YOU DESTROY IT (aha!)....St. Paul had a point!.....

....it is a marvelous piece of music anyway....

  • @JT112358 you're right just a GREEK could give us the ancient Greek language as to have the theme remains amazing
