we can be humane and respectful to animals that is of course a good thing; every effort should be made to avoid cruelty, but peta goes to far; they really do not even approve of pets, seeing eye dogs, farming of animals even a in responsible manner and essential research that ultimately saves live (including peta's diabetic president who would not last long without insulin that would never been discovered without animal research).

I'd have a LOT more respect for PETA if they didn't kill pets, sabotage the ASPCA and the Humane Society and want to take seeing-eye dogs away from blind people. As for carnivorous activity, I'm a Wiccan---the real thing, not the New Age imitation---so it's against my religion to be vegetarian.

@GOLDENFLYWARRIOR Will you refuse medicines and medical care developed by animal testing ? Unless you wear 100% organic cotton and hemp shoes even your clothes probably had something to do with an animal at one time or another.
-
notice how PETA only gives a fuck if its a 'cute' animal? They dont give a shit about insect fighting in asia and stuff like that.
-
NOT 100% PRO PETA! YET PETA DOES TONS OF THINGS! ASK PAUL MCCARTNEY!! LOOK UP FAMOUS VEGANS ON GOOGLE!! THE FAMOUS EVEN KNOW THAT VEGETARIANS & VEGANS ARE A BETTER LIFE STYLE. DO YOU HOMEWORK PEOPLE. MANY CARE TO KNOW THE TRUTH AND MANY DO NOT. THE FOOLS WILL HAVE POOR HEALTH AND SUFFER THEIR DENIAL. WATCH....FORKS OVER KNIFES. GLAD I DON'T EAT OR WEAR ANIMALS. NO NEED. I'M TOO EDUCATED AND HAVE A HIGHER CONSCIENCE. THOSES THAT ARE SELFISH WILL NOT BE SO KIND. KARMA!

@Melanth89 I agree wholeheartedly. It's one thing to ask for ethical treatment of animals but PETA has gone overboard on a lot of things. Fighting for ethical treatment of animals is one thing, forcing your beliefs on other people is another thing entirely.

Glad to see that I'm not the only one who remembers that abomination, Kangaroo Jack.

@darkblood626 Great, now do that times 4 million per year, because that's how many animals can't find homes.
-
Actually I threw it some food and contacted a local vet and after a few months of recovering it went to be adopted by a relative of a friend of mine.

@ZoldierrZzz Correction. PETA is non-profit.
As much as I like Maher, he's dead wrong on this one. Whatever good PETA has done for animal welfare was long ago buried beneath the crazy shit they come out with which discredits and damages other animal welfare movements. PETA as it is now is just a vehicle for vegan extremists.

Fuck PETA, find an animals rights group that isn't hypocritical, doesn't fund terrorists, doesn't exploit women, and cares enough about its fellow humans to put us before a chicken.
