Showed this to a Japanese friend, who said, "this is in the United States?" Indeed it is! While in Japan robots are used for auto manufacturing, here our robot overlords are starting with simple trash collection. The company that operates the service is Waste Management, which won the contract in our city based on a trial in one neighborhood and the claim that it will save lots of money, thanks to reduced manpower needs. However, what the city of Newton failed to take into account is the fact that the barrels are extremely heavy. Many local senior citizens are already complaining, and I can only imagine what it will be like when we have three-foot-high snowbanks and we have to wrangle these monsters to the curb.

im not criticizing Australia but we have capped internet and is 5 times more expensive then other countries. We don't even have optic fiber yet which is coming out in the next 8 years.
Internet speeds in China is up to 100mb whilst in Australia we will be lucky to get 5mb.
Mobiles phones and other electronics are at least 2-5 years behind Asia.
I know because i travel.
