@phgHunter ok thanks

It would seem that the extra weight of the sniper subsonic bullet and the longer pressure dwell on the bolt makes the rifle cycle better than the lighter bullet hypersonic ammo and its shorter pressure dwell time
-
@phgHunter yet another good point, but you figure with the short casing and maybe less powder it wouldnt move the bolt back that much... either way they knew what they were doing when they made that ammunition lol
-
@1gamoguy They really fling the bolt back and I would guess the shorter case just gets out of the way faster. They seem to feed just fine too.

Cracking video. Funny thing when I tried Aguila sniper 60gr in my old 10/22 she wouldnt feed them worth a damn yet my mates Ruger 10/22 ate them up no problem???.
Typical ammo fussy Rugers eh,they are all different,got rid of the 10/22 and got a smith n wesson 15/22 M+P in its place.Love this wee rifle!. Eats all ammo except Remmy HVs and CCI subs (which are dirty little buggers anyways ha). Ive tried to get more Aguila 60gr sniper but cant find em,or .22 lr tracers either?. I want the tracers

@helinz You can get the Aguila 60gr and tracers on a few websites if you can't find them at your gunshop.

@phgHunter Where did you get them Aguila Sniper Sub Sonics? And do they shoot good? What is the purpose of the long lead and short casing?

@zlzachery1 I think from cheaperthandirt. The purpose of the long lead is to have a 60 grain bullet. You couldn't have a 60 grain bullet in a standard .22lr casing, it would be too long to chamber. They seemed to be pretty accurate but I haven't shot many of them.
