vande mataram means praising the Motherland ...its the Hindu culture to show respect and praise someone from who he benefits from in any which way ..thts the hindu culture...and praising a cow or motherland dosent mean we are comparing them with the supreme lord ...grow up dude ..there are different level of praise and respect ..you need to have a higher consciousness to understand the diffrence

Anya Devatah in the verse clearly means to 'other demi gods'. This verse under any proper translation does not talk about idol worship. Dr. Zakir Naik lies about HINDU religion. PERIOD

Kamais tais tair hrta-jnanah prapadyante nya-devatah tam tam niymam asthaya prakrtya niyatah suaya: The verse means "Those whose intelligence has been stolen by material desires surrender unto demigods and follow the particular rules and regulations of worship according to their own natures" for e.g., worshipping Sun God!!

@ 5:10 he says in Bhagavad-Gita, it is mentioned in Chapter 7 Verse 20 that there should not be any idol worship. He is totally wrong about his understanding of the verse and manipulated it to say that verse 20 talks about idol worship. It does not, it only talks about not worshipping demi-gods. Here is the verse:
