Classic Game Room reviews the X-ARCADE TANKSTICK from X-Arcade powered by Xgaming. This massive dual arcade joystick with a trak-ball can be used on PCs with USB inputs and on Sega Dreamcast, PS2 (and PS1), GameCube, PS3 and Xbox 360 with the appropriate adapters. Complex, expensive and difficult to program, the X-arcade Tankstick won't be for those who aren't serious about their gaming with some time, money and patience on their site. Awesome arcade-style gameplay is delivered when all is said and done though. For this review the Xarcade Tankstick was tested with PC games before and after programming, Mame emulators, PS2 and Sega Dreamcast. CGR recommends the Dreamstick from Dream Arcade for Xbox 360 because it is a 360 controller disassembled and built into an arcade stick to prevent lag. The Tankstick works well with PC, Dreamcast and PS2 (all tested for this review using adapters) but don't expect to not do repair work on it. Build quality is questionable given the price but it's nothing a butter knife and a few hours can't fix, which is irritating. The Tankstick can be purchased as a massive controller as shown or bought with an X-Arcade stand up arcade machine. Versatility and style may be the X-Arcade Tankstick's biggest assets, but those really interested in a house-sized joystick may also want to consider a custom job for the same price. In any event, it is impressive and replaces the Dreamcast controller which needs replacing for many games like Capcom vs. SNK 2 and Marvel vs. Capcom 2.

I had no problems with the stick at all. It worked on my first try on a 2004 model dell PC. It was easy to program and the joystick and trackball worked flawlessly. I think something went wrong with the shipping as you mentioned. I highly recommend it and no I am not their spokesman lol.

So to answer your question even more, it's awesome with fighting games. I also have it on a solid surface so the only movement to the sticks and trackball is direct movement and not having the surface wobble where it could cause damage to your joysticks or your trackball. I feel it's a great product dude. I have had mine for over a year, I use it all the time and it still functions the same as when I first bought it. It's all about taking good care of your stuff man. I hope that helps. :)

I have played a lot of games of Street Fighter 3 Double Impact and 3rd Strike in MAME and it's still working beautifully. I don't know how other people are taking care of their shit that is causing their stuff to break but I don't hammer on the stick and wrench it around like a maniac. I imagine that if you slide the stick to the left and then slam it to the right or do half circles going full force, then your shit's gonna break but I play mine with finesse and it's still like new bro.

Yes, but how well does this work on a Windows 7 computer? Its kind of a lot of money to spend only to not have it work...

XGaming makes total garbage. All the components they put in the shell are lousy. I beta tested their crap for a while and let me tell you their build quality is crap. Their joysticks suck and the trackball barely spins. Build your own or spend about 2x more and get a nicer one elsewhere. I ended up gutting mine and replacing everything inside with IL Happ EuroSticks and buttons. Way better!
