  • I was at a Lionel Hampton concert in the 1970's where they played this song. The crowd went crazy, dancing anywhere there was floor space. It was a Great night, and hearing this tune brings back lots of pleasant memories for me. Thanks for posting it !!!!

    You're Welcome!

It is good to know see we contribute to see other people's feeling good ! I also saw a concert by Lionel Hampton in "Jazz Cascais" in Portugal, but around 1993-94! All big names in jazz, but already quite aged. It was unforgettable! Besides the quality which are recognized, was the knowledge that would be the last time I hear them live!

Jazz in general, but particularly the "old school" until the revolution of the Free Jazz, contains a vitality and spontaneity see is able to reveal what is most pure lives in the Human (from Love from deep sadness, despair and anger ; blues explosion of joy).

Greetings from Portugal and Thanks for the comment!

  • @JosePedroMoutinho You're very welcome !!!! The Hampton concert I attended was in Staten Island New York. (part of New York City) What really sticks in my mind is how animated the Band Members were as they played the tune. It added a whole new dimension to an already great tune. Great Stuff !!!!
