1965 VW Bug Convertible, original sitting from 78
I have the task of selling a German purchased 1965 Bug convertible badged at rockers "Karmen" (possibly a European VW badge) for a little old lady, (original owner). Putting feelers out for price and advanced sale interested parties
looking for fast sale at fair price and sell a 1965 VW Bug convertible.
This VW sitting from 1978 inside a garage is in original condition. 81K showing (probably kilometers). Car is complete, original condition. We have papers and clear title.
This Bug has issues as any car would from sitting all the years. It is what it is, luckily in this case.Convertible!!
The top actually looks good, because the sun did not get to it.
There is surface rust on many panels and well as completely rusted thru the floor, bottom edges of doors, door jambs.
The motor is currently not running, although the owner tells me it was running when stored. The owner says at that point the motor needed a ring job as it was burning a little oil.
The car is European, was purchased in West Germany and driven for a few years around Europe, then shipped to Pittsburg PA, driven there and finally ended up in a Port Washington garage in 1978; the registration and inspection stickers are on the windshield from that year.
You motor heads, feel free to email me repair7@optonline.net or call 516-660-0149
Am hoping that the YouTube video of this car will filter and screen all the chaff from the wheat. When prospective buyers see the car, all needs to be done is exchange cash and sign the ownership over. Take a good luck and make your best offer.
Of course all sales are no warranty expressed or implied at all. Sale is final.
This VW is sold as is, not running.
