Workers protest outside the Blue Dove Health resthome in Mangere East, South Auckland. on Friday 5 Feb 2010. Approximately 100 workers lost their jobs when the facility closed on 31 January. They have not received their final pay or holiday entitlements etc, as confusion mounts about who is responsible for paying them. In the meantime these low paid workers are in financial hardship. The SFWU and the NZNO who represent members on the site have been doing their best to help, but have so far been unsuccessful in getting the money paid out.
