How to Backup UMD Games

EASIEST METHOD EVER

HOW TO:
NOTE: Custom firmware needed for this to work.

1: Turn on your PSP (Must be in Custom Firmware)
2: Insert a UMD Game into your PSP and wait for it to load
3: After the UMD loads press the "Select" button on your psp, a menu will pop up
4: Scroll to USB Device and use the "Left" and "Right" arrow keys to change it from Memory Stick to UMD Disc
5: Then connect a USB to your PSP and go to USB Connection
6: When your PSP is connected to your PC go to the memory stick of your PSP
7: If dont correctly there will be only 1 file in there. That file is the ISO
8: Copy the file to your desktop
9: After thats' done disconnect the USB
10: Press the "Select" button on your PSP and change USB Device from UMD Disc to Memory Stick
11: Connect your PSP to your PC again.
12: Copy and Paste the file from your desktop and put it in the ISO folder on your PSP
13: Play the game and Enjoy

is there any way to break down my psp umd file that i change over to my desk to? because i was running a test got a game backed up dexter it is about 600,000 mb or sumthing and when i do the umd tranfer it say's dexter is bout 1,665,789..a gig and sum chang how can i just back up the game file and not all the other crap

Im not 100% sure if this is true, but I heard you can open the file with a program and delete/compress useless files like videos or menus.

One thing I know for sure is that you can compress the file with a PSP file compressor. Look it up on google

new games wont work because now instead of putting the game iso on the umd they put install data which only works with umd
