I go in search of what's behind a fence, razor wire and a tarp off of Hill Street in Downtown L.A.

  • I used to agree with all the hype of L.A. being a scary place, then I started working there. Now I laugh at how ignorant I was!

  • An old pacific electric car is there.

  • @jooshiscrazy Thanks, I thought it was a red but I will stand corrected. (:

  • @fenderspring It's not a Red Car. It's a Yellow Car. That means it was from the Los Angeles Railway. Ironically, this car is in the parking lot of the old Subway Terminal Building, where Pacific Electric ran cars from a subway underneath the building up to Toluca Yard at Beverly Blvd. and Glendale Blvd. The tunnel itself actually still exists, except for a part that got filled in with the foundation of the Bonaventure Hotel. Both entrances are restricted though.

  • @fenderspring yeha it resembled a railcar of some sort

  • ITS A HEROIN ADDICT! SURPRISE!!!!

  • It's a trolly car that's been restored, the kind that looks like a bus......B^)

  • Ever see the movie Mulholland Dr.?

I was expecting someone/thing like that. lol!

  • @DaDySerKStR1 tarp

  • Regarding one of the comments below, I don't get the paranoia about downtown LA. Sure it has it's problems like any other big city, but it's not a war zone.. I've been there several times and I never felt like I was in danger. Just be vigilant.

  • I've seen pictures of it before the tarp was placed. It's an old Los Angeles Railway yellow car. No one knows why it's been there for the last 50 years, but someone's working on restoring it. What's especially strange is that it's located in a parking lot next to the Subway Terminal Building, which was the main hub for Pacific Electric's red cars, the other big streetcar company in LA.
